I'm the maker behind Little Barn Willow. I weave animals, birds and gifts for the home and garden by hand in rural Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, from English willow.
How willow found me
Every piece I make starts with a love of animals, and it led me to willow in stages.
01
The natural world
I've loved and been inspired by the natural world all my life. I have a passion for animals and the countryside, and you can see it in every piece I make.
02
Drawing and painting
That love of animals led me to drawing and painting first, and later to willow.
03
Years of making
I've created many different types of creative items over the years, but willow became my main passion.
04
Willow, full time
When I retired from my career as a Senior Lecturer, I was fortunate to put all my energy into willow: animals, birds and gifts for the home and garden. It gives me joy.
From Somerset to rural Uttoxeter
I use English willow, sustainably grown in Somerset, and some from closer to home. It all comes to my workshop in rural Uttoxeter, where every piece is made by hand.

How I work
I want each sculpture to bring joy and a touch of the natural world into your home or garden.
Made by hand, never mass produced
I weave each piece by hand, so no two are quite the same.
Sustainably sourced
English willow, sustainably grown, and ethically sourced materials.
Traditional techniques

Made with you
For a commission, I work closely with you so the piece fits what you have in mind.
“I love my craft and hope my work demonstrates this. Every sculpture tells a story.”
